Group music
Elementary & homeschool music
Weekly class with a small group of kids and one teacher—great for homeschool families and for anyone who wants extra music outside of school. This is different from a private, one-on-one lesson.
Who these classes are for
Sections are for elementary-age children, usually grouped by similar ages. Many seats go to homeschool families who want a dependable weekly music class; we also welcome public- and private-school students whose parents want more singing and rhythm in their week. If you are not sure which section fits, we will help.
What children do in class
Each week children sing, move with the beat, listen, and play simple classroom instruments together. The teacher leads songs and activities so skills build over the year, while keeping the mood light and encouraging—think music class with friends, not a formal recital track.
What this builds—and how a group differs from private lessons
Students practice matching pitch, keeping a steady beat, singing with others, and following a leader—skills that support school music, choir later on, or starting an instrument down the road. Private lessons pair one student with one teacher on a specific instrument (piano, voice, guitar, etc.). Group class focuses on general musicianship with the whole circle and costs less per week than private study. Some families stay in group only; others add private lessons when a child is ready—we can help you plan that without double-booking your calendar.
Schedule, cost, and how to ask about openings
We meet in Pacific, MO, with families often driving from Greater St. Louis or nearby counties. Class tuition is published on the tuition page; billing is monthly, and you receive a calendar that shows regular class weeks and planned weeks off. To get started, contact us with each child’s age, whether you homeschool, and which weekdays usually work—we will tell you which group has room and what to do next.
