Who guitar lessons are for

We teach kids figuring out their first chords, teens who want to play songs they actually listen to, and adults who never got around to lessons or want to play again. Acoustic and electric students are both welcome. If you are not sure about instrument size or readiness, ask us—we will give you a straight answer.

What beginners can expect—and how we pace lessons

Lessons are one student and one teacher, same time each week when possible. Early weeks focus on comfortable posture, pressing strings cleanly, simple strumming or picking, steady counting, and a few songs you can recognize. We add new skills in small steps so practice at home feels doable, not overwhelming. Your teacher adjusts the speed based on how the week goes.

Growing as a player—and how to get started

Over time, students build a wider chord vocabulary, smoother changes, better rhythm, and—when it helps—the basics of reading or understanding how keys and patterns work on the neck, always tied to music you want to play (rock, folk, worship, blues, and other common styles). We are in Pacific, MO, with many families driving in from Greater St. Louis. Tuition is monthly and listed on the tuition page. To begin, contact us with the student’s age, acoustic or electric preference, any past lessons, favorite kinds of music, and which weekdays usually work.
